Who We Are
Effortless Activism [EA] was developed originally in 2006 as a unique model for positive social and ecological change. Bringing together nonprofits, international NGOs, conscious film producers, music, and sustainable and socially responsible businesses, EA works to create nearly effortless forms of activism for individuals, which when combined together can have a profound impact on our planet. We bring the activism to the people. This is done through grassroots advocacy campaigns and events, connecting consumers with socially responsible products, and a new mobile marketing program.
We are run as a low profit company, facilitating the expansion of our projects and resources. Because we work with a number of not-for-profit companies, earning some profit allows us to expand their limited resources as well. And though our company has only recently emerged, our team of producers is not new to the business. We are one of a kind: a consortium of skilled individuals with extensive experience in public relations, marketing, and event production with knowledge of social and environmental issues.
EA has been involved in a diverse range of projects stretching from urgent humanitarian relief and other grass roots activism and has created, produced and managed many music and entertainment related campaigns. We envision Effortless Activism as a cutting-edge, cross-platform, social and environmental stewardship portal.
While our primary goal is to strive to generate awareness about critical issues facing the world, part of making activism effortless is providing consumers with simple ways to voice change. Every dollar spent is a vote for the type of world we want to live in. Thus, one of the easiest and most effective ways to promote change is to regulate consumption patterns. In our consumer and capitalist society, we believe individuals can vote to support causes and responsible businesses by what they choose to consume. For this reason, incorporated in our projects is the marketing and sponsorship from socially responsible businesses, whose products are targeted towards conscious consumers. In the near future, EA will employ integrated online, mobile, and music-based grassroots marketing campaigns to empower individuals to impact their world, while connecting users to like-minded people, non-profits and existing on the ground efforts related to their specific social, humanitarian and ecological interests. We must play the game to gain exposure to these critical issues.
